Tummy Troubles

My sweet little man has been having a lot of tummy issues this past year. He complains about his belly hurting almost everyday and has for the past few months. We finally decided to take him to a gastroenterologist to try to figure something out. They have put him on miralax and prevacid to see if it would help.  The meds have maybe helped a little bit but not much. They finally decided to scope him and do an EGD, were they look in his stomach with a camera looking for allergies or any other problems. He had his scope on October 28th in the morning. He couldn't have any solid food that morning, so I took the kids to get Slurpees for breakfast, which they both thought was just awesome. Connor was pretty freaked at first when we went there. He kept asking anyone and everyone there if he had to get a shot. When the nurse told him no, his whole demeanor changed. He was so brave and tough through the whole thing. The procedure went well and they didn't really find anything except a small hiatal hernia. He was really sick to his stomach and confused after the procedure. I felt so bad for him.. We took the kids to Golden Corral that night as a reward for him being brave and having to go through it. His stomach started hurting at the restaurant though, and he ended up kind of having a rough night. Hope we can figure out what the issue is soon!

Maylee's Blessing

We blessed Maylee on October 13th, 2013 at home on a Sunday afternoon. We decided to do it at home this year, just to have it a little more intimate and close. My family and grandmother came and also, Brother Despain from the bishopric came to help with the blessing. I wish I took notes right after the blessing, but a few things that stood out to me were that I thought were special. She was blessed and told that she would be a peacemaker in the home, which couldn't be more fitting to her. She has such a sweet and calm countenance. She was also blessed that someday she would find a companion who would love her and take her to the temple to be married. She was also blessed to know of  and feel Heavenly Father's love for her through her life. Eric did and great job and the spirit was really there. So grateful that Eric is a worthy priesthood holder and able to give his children blessings! It was also my mom's 50th birthday, so we had a little celebration for her birthday also! Happy Birthday Mom! Thanks for all you do! We love you!

Best family pic we could get. Maylee is about as happy in these pictures
as she looks. She so did not appreciate having that big dress on her!

I think Connor thought it was his birthday!

September 2013

September

September has been a fun and busy month in our house. It has been so nice to finally have the weather cool down a little bit, and be able to get outside in the mornings and evenings. Here is a little bit of September happenings:

1. September 1st: Found these crazies sleeping in the hallway and bedroom floor one night after we put them in bed. They so badly want to stay up late and be a part of the crowd. Cuties!

2. September 2nd: We had a fun little labor day barbeque and swim party with my parents and family. It was extra fun and special because it was my little bro's 24th birthday! So grateful to have such a great brother! Love you bro!

3. September 7th: Look who's smiling?!? This cuties has the sweetest smiles and coo's. She is also getting the perfect amount of chubs!

 4. September 13th - The day the kids snuck and ate almost a whole box of sugar cereal! We only let our kids have sugar cereal on Saturday and Sunday. The kids begged me to have sugar cereal this day and I said no. I went in my room to nurse Maylee and when I came back, this is what I found. Those little sneaks!

 5. September 14th - Eric took Kenna on the daddy-daughter campout. She was soo excited to go and talked about it all week before she went. What was she most excited about? The s'mores and soda pop she got of course! Connor and I also went on a fun date to Peter Piper Pizza to play games and to McDonalds for dinner.

 5. September 15th- The kids got confused and thought they were bats.

 6. September 20th- The kids decided they liked sporting around in my running shoes.

 7. September 22nd - Maylee all prettied up for church.

 8. September 24th- Pizza making night in the burns home. They love to help me cook!

 9. September 30th: All snuggled up watching morning cartoons! Maylee gets just as glued to the tv as the twins!
